The 90's kid - Tag

Hi guys! Today I decided to do the 90's kids tag that I saw going around on Youtube. I grew up in the 90's so it has been a great part of my childhood. I have so many fun memeroes I can literally spend hours and hours thinking of the 90's fashion, music and tv shows. Follow the jum to read about some of my favourites

1. Favourite Disney Channel original movie.
I can't remember watching these in the Netherlands.. I probably did but without knowing it. I'll just list my favourite Disney movies.
- The Lion King
- The Little Mermaid
- Beauty and the Beast

2. Favourite music artist.
I was a huuuuge Spice girls fan! I still have all of their cd's and I collected stickers (that came with lollipops), pencils. Basically everthing with them on it.

3. Favourite nickelodeon jr. show
I loved The Care Bears, The Little Bits, Hello Kitty and Friends and Spongebob Squarepants the most.

4. Favourite candy.
I can't think of any other things than: Baby bottle pops, Jawbreakers, bubbalicious, Kinder Surprise eggs, jelly beans and jelly babies.

5. Favourite game (board game, school  game)
In school we always made fortune tells out of a piece of paper. During the lunch break we used to jump rope and we had these really long elastic bands and we played games with that. And I used to play games with only a tennis ball and brick wall and have a lot of fun with only those two things. My favourite board games were Guess Who and Monopoly for kids.

6. Favourite McDonald's toy.
I can't remember any toys except for the Snoopy collection.. I think I was already so happy to eat at McDonalds that I didn't care for the toys. When I ate there I would take the box home with me. Together with my dad I would follow the instructions on the box and make something out of it.

7. Favourite book.
Was the first Harry Potter book published in the 90's? I don't remember any other book before that. But I loved to read and have read many books before the Harry Potter series.

8. Favourite clothing store.
I used to love anything that was H&M.

9. What would you watch when you got home from school?
I usually watched Pokémon in the morning, and after school I think I watched Rugrats, Sabrina the Teenage witch and Lizzie Mcguire.

10. Favorite tv show.
Oh man I don't even know where to start. I loved almost all cartoon network shows: Cow and Chicken, The Powerpuff Girls, Johnny Bravo, and I also loved Sweet Valley High, Heart Break High, Saved By The Bell, Sabrina The Teenage Witch,

11. Favourite toys.
I had one sky dancer which I loved and played with until it broke. I bought the Sky Dancer (a pretty pastel green one) on the boat to England with money I won on one of the gambling machines. My mom let me put one gilder in the machine and eventually with that one gilder I won enough money to buy a Sky Dancer. I also was addicted to my tamagotchi and gameboy (until we had the Playstation 1 and Spyro was my favourite).

12. Favourite commercials.
I always got a bit mesmerised when the Sky Dancers commercial was on tv and I thought the Yogho Yogho (a yogurt fruit drink) commercial was really funny. The Flippo's commercial always got me exicted to collect more Flippo's

13. 'Nsync or Backstreet Boys.
I wasn't a fan of either group.. but I think I liked the 'N sync songs more than the Backstreet Boys songs. And: I never understood why the Backstreet Boys had that song in which they said: ''Backstreet's back ... alright!'' Were they ever gone?

14. Weirdest fashion trend.
Those collar chokers. I think it started with the chokers, but eventually there were rings, and bracelets too. I always felt so suffocated when I wore my choker. We also had these bubble tops in the Netherlands. They looked really small but were incredibly stretchy and made from a very synthetic material.
Spice girls shoes were also a bit strange but I want them so bad. Luckily my mom never got them for me. And the last weird fashion trend: overalls! I still don't understand why they ever were a trend.

15. Favourite collectible
I used to collect alllll sorts of things. In the Netherlands we used to get ''Flippo's'' in the crisps packages, you could play games with these and trade them. It was very similar to the Pokémon cards. I had the original Flippo Folder in which I kept all of my Flippo's. As I was so scared to loose them I never traded any of them of played games to win more. I would just beg my mom to buy more crisps.

16. Favourite beanie baby.

I can't remember the names of my beanie babies, but I loved the dog that was white and brown. Haha I just remember that I used to call all of my beanie babies ''ty'' as I thought that was their name.

17. How many Tamagotchis did you go through?
I think I only had one. The crazy thing is, when I talk about them right now, I reallllly want to get a new one. Just to see if it's as much fun as it used to be. At one point they were banned from my school 'cause everyone was so obsessed with feeding etc that we didn't pay attention to the teacher or assignments we would get.

18. Favourite game system and game.
I used to be addicted to my gameboy, and later to the gameboy color. I had the purple one and I loved to play the The Little Mermaid and the Lion King games. Later I got the yellow Pokémon game and I played that non-stop.

That was all! I tag each and everyone of you to do this Tag. I really enjoyed searching old commercials and remembering all of the trends and weird games.

I'm now going to uni, for a meeting with a teacher and after that my weekend starts. Not looking forward to it at all. I will have to spend my time studying for next week's exams. The first one is on Monday and it's about three different subjects. Wish me luck :)

xx

I loved reading your Tag! I seriously adored Guess Who as a kid, can't believe I forgot to mention it in my post. And Sweet Valley High, I totally forgot about that one too!

Hope you'll get a chance to take a look at my blog.

Take care, stay beautiful and dream big!
